Need Union Representation?
If you are called into a meeting that you reasonably believe could result in disciplinary action, clearly request union representation before answering investigatory questions.
Contact the Union President or another member of the LPVEC Educators Union Executive Board directly. You may also request assistance from another union member to serve as your representative, subject to applicable representation rules.
If a union representative is not immediately available, request that the investigatory questioning be postponed until representation can be arranged.
Remember: You must clearly request representation. Do not assume that management will automatically provide a union representative.
